The following is the background information of Aion, which is based on a conversation with Ken in October 2007. At the very beginning of the world, the god Aion he created a powerful race of servants. These servants however developed their own will and ignored the wishes and orders of Aion and at last they rebelled and wandered themselves around the world of Atreia. In response to this, the Empyrean Lords were created. They were the forerunners of another race called the Daevas. Even though as individuals, the Daevas were not so strong as the Balaur, they were entitled from Aion loyalty and worship towards himself. Therefore they will disobey him in on case.
Fight was started between the Balaur and the Daevas. The expulsion of the Balaur form the world Atreia into a unknown place was the end of the fight. Peace came after the fight and lasted for a time. But among the Daevas, though all faithful to the god Aion, when it came to the problems of the Balaur, two factions rose with different suggestions. One would like to end the prolonged war as soon as possilbe and therefore bring peace to the land for ever, wihle the other would like to come up with a fight whenever it was necessary. The Balaur offered a peace plan but they were betrayed and used to attack the Tower of Eternity, the symbol of the god Aion and destroyed it into two parts, giving rise to endless war in the future.
