It is very hard for devs to turn limited resources to the issue of game lore in my opinion. However, I know gameplay still must be on the top priority, so I am always strict with Mats and others by asking them to make every attempt to flesh out the game lore as soon as possible.
It is much more than just fulfilling the curiosity of a few. On one hand, game lore is the fundamental for building the Guilds. On the other hand a thriving and interesting community is set up on the basis of guilds and the community helps promote a game in turn.
We have nine races. However, we have no lore concerning most of them.
Maybe god will play a positive influence on gameplay. They are probably able to improve PvP factions in the game via epic quest confrontations. Since we have limited knowledge about them, there is a long way to go.
