The first positive part of mages is that this class has great damage potential using spells. The specific meaning is that mages have very low defense but can do a great amount of damage to enemies. This point is quite like the Rogues in some degree. However, what makes it over Rogues is its ability to launch ranged attacks even at low levels. The other high point is its ability to attack enemies from a distance. When the enemy is far away, mages are able to attack them. Ranges attacks allow them to get in a hit or two before their enemies are in sight.
